Scholarships for Staff

University employees can take advantage of free professional development courses, tuition waivers, and other incentives to increase academic and professional success. But even with these opportunities, the cost of books and fees can prevent staff from pursuing a degree at UCF. Below are scholarships available to help.

Applying for a Scholarship:

• Read the criteria carefully to determine if you meet the qualifications. If you do not meet the requirements, you will be eliminated from consideration.
• Attach all required documents to each application form. If you do not attach all required supporting documents before the application deadline, you will be eliminated from consideration.
• Deadline -Return the completed scholarship application by February 5, 2024  for Fall award consideration and January 30, 2024 for Spring award consideration.
• Award Notification – If selected as the recipient of any scholarship, or award you will be notified within 30 days after the deadline.

 Staff Advisory Council Scholarship, Campus Bookstore Scholarship, & Addition Financial Employee Savings Award Application

$250 UCF Employee Scholarship Award

• Must be a UCF USPS or A&P full-time employee, and be enrolled in a degree-seeking program.
• USPS and A&P Employee must have one year of service completed prior to the term for which the award is requested and have not received this Staff Council Award within the previous calendar year.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (attach copy of degree audit).
• Employee must provide proof of enrollment of a minimum of two courses at UCF.
• Please provide a short essay on your goals in pursing your higher education.
• Consideration given to longevity of USPS and A&P employment at UCF

$100 UCF Campus Bookstore Scholarship

• Must be a UCF USPS or A&P full-time employee or a dependent of an employee and be enrolled in a degree-seeking Undergraduate or Graduate program in the Spring 2024 semester.
• Applications must be submitted by Application Deadline (Coming Soon).
• USPS and A&P employees must have one year of service completed before the term for which the award is requested and have not received this award within the previous calendar year.
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (attach a copy of degree audit).
• The applicant must provide proof of enrollment in at least two courses at UCF.
• Dependents must demonstrate dependency as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Federal Aid) for 2022-2023 and include a copy to be considered.
• Employee or Dependent – please provide a short essay on your goals in pursuing higher education.
• Consideration is given to the longevity of USPS and A&P employment at UCF. 

$250 Addition Financial Employee Savings Incentive Award

This award is sponsored by the Addition Financial Credit Union.  The award will be given in the form of a savings account deposit.  The membership fee will be waived for new customers, and amount will be deposited into the winner’s account.

• Full-time A & P or USPS employee seeking a degree at UCF or a community college for the current application semester.
• Employee must have one year of service completed prior to the term for which the award is requested and have not received a USPS Staff Advisory Council Award within the current or previous calendar year.
• Must provide proof of at least one course at UCF or a community college and have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (attach copy of degree audit).
• Please provide a short essay on your goals in pursing your higher education.
